A note from the Junior High Library Media Specialist, Rebecca Salazar:
The PIJH library offers students and teachers a place to read, learn, and create. We offer computers, device charging stations, group, and individual work areas, and common areas for socializing.
Students can come into the library before school, during class, at lunch, and after school. Students can access the online book catalog to search and check out library books, play games (both online and board), play a game of giant Jenga or Connect 4, and utilize one of the desktop computers or Chromebooks in order to work on a class project or access their Google Classroom assignments.
Teachers can sign up to bring their classes for library time or send a group or individual student(s) to work on classwork. Reading classes attend library classes every month.
Technology is available for all classroom teachers to check out. In addition to the library computers, there are two additional computer labs on campus that teachers can reserve for their classes.
Come visit the Port Isabel Junior High Library!
